Peshawar: The All-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Property Dealers Association has urged the government to revise tax rates and expressed its concerns regarding the escalating taxes implemented on property transactions, according to news published on August 29.

Recently, a press conference was held with the representatives of the association including Younas Khan, Dr. Mehrab Bangash, Asmatullah Afridi, and others in attendance. During the conference, the speakers highlighted the negative impact of new tax rates on their businesses and requested to revise tax rates. They opined that individuals associated with the real estate sector are ultimately being adversely affected by the situation.

The speakers claimed that a partnership between the land mafia and specific corrupt individuals within the Land Revenue Department was leading to the victimization of susceptible individuals, causing them to suffer financial losses they had worked diligently to earn.
