Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan on Thursday ordered timely completion of the largest residential scheme- Gandhara Valley City (Peshawar Model Town), according to news sources.

CM presided over a meeting held regarding Peshawar Revival Plan, which was attended by Provincial Ministers, Akbar Ayub Khan, Timur Saleem Jhagra, Member Provincial Assembly Asif Khan, Commissioner Peshawar, Director General (DG), Capital City Police Office (CCPO), Peshawar Development Authority (PDA), and administrative secretaries of concerned departments, and other officials.
During the meeting, the CM ordered that all criteria, including a detailed engineering design, be completed as quickly as possible so that the groundbreaking may take place. In addition, the CM instructed the appropriate agencies to complete the remaining construction of the Ring Road project on time.
Furthermore, the conference evaluated the status of the initiatives under the Peshawar Revival Plan. The Gandhara Valley City project, which spans 106,000 kanals, was found to be four times larger than Hayatabad Town.
The meeting also addressed the project’s zoning plan, which disclosed that the town will be divided into 23 zones, 17 of which will be residential zones. The CM was also informed that officials are working on land acquisition for Section-4, while construction on Section-5 has begun.

In addition, it was also informed in the meeting that PC-1 of the Peshawar Bus Stand project was submitted to the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) for approval.
