Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has collected more revenue than its target of PKR 11 billion for the fiscal year 2018-2019, according to a news source. The authority was able to collect PKR 1 billion in taxes each month from April to June on the directives of Director General Nasir Khan who took office from April.
The Director General praised the achievement and said that that performance of the authority is improving each day as it is now able to collect PKR 1 billion each month. He also added that this was achievable only because of hard work and complete devotion of the KPRA team and all the important stakeholders and service providers. The DG has also said that the KPRA has to pay the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) PKR 1.9 billion for Input Tax Adjustment, after which the KPRA would have successfully crossed its target for the fiscal year.
