Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has announced reducing the sales tax from 15% to just 2% on several services as part of the government’s tax relief package meant to boost business activity and in turn promote the country’s economic growth – a news source reported today (September 4).

The sales tax on the construction services, as well as on the property dealers, have been reduced to 2%. The authority announced the change through a notification – that highlights reduced sales tax on 29 services as provided under the provincial Budget 2020-21.
According to details, the sales on 10 services have been brought down from 15% to 2; for 6 services it has been set at 10%, while another 6 has had the sales tax reduced to 8%.

Moreover, these services include the construction and allied services, hotels and restaurants services, workshops, business support services, laboratory services, labour or man power providing services and beauty parlours.
