Peshawar: In hopes of bolstering positive financial activity in the region, the recently formed Economic Zone Development and Management Company (EZDMC) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) has decided to establish four new industrial estates. Construction and development work will commence in October.
The four industrial estates are Hattar Industrial Estate (HIE) Phase VII, Ghazi Industrial Estate (GIE), Jalozai Industrial Estate (JIE) and Rashakai Industrial Estate (RIE). HIE Phase VII, reportedly a part of the Pak-China Economic Corridor project, will be set on approximately 424 acres of land, while GIE will be built on 89 acres, JIE on 257 acres, and RIE will be on 100 acres.
In an effort to promote industry in KPK, industries have been exempted from paying taxes for the next five years.
