Peshawar: Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan recently directed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) to pave the way for the online issuance of certificates, stamp papers, and land mutation deeds via the province’s Citizens Facilitation Centres (CFCs), a news source reported.

As per the publication, the CFCs projects were initiated under the Digital Access Initiative to facilitate the general public. The project aims to provide a one window operation to obtain crucial documents like domicile certificates, birth, death, & marriage certificates, arms license, driving license, and computerised national identity cards (CNIC).

CM Mahmood Khan chaired a review meeting of KPITB initiatives and ordered the officials concerned to ensure that CFCs were established on a divisional level by the end of 2021. The meeting was also briefed on the KP Digital Policy, including Digital Economy, Digital Access and Governance, Digital Skills, and the progress made on various projects under the KPITB. The CM further directed all the relevant officials to ensure the timely completion of all the various initiatives and projects currently under development.
