Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority (KPHA) has been directed to fix potholes on the Swat Expressway by the Peshawar High Court using quality material, according to news published in the leading newspaper on September 9.

The high court has asked the authority to submit a report on the repairing progress of the Swat Expressway by September 28. The project director of Swat Expressway informed the bench consisting of Chief Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan and Justice Fazal Subhan that the highway was uneven at 34 points. The director stated that the expressway portion with more bumps will be repaired by September 22, whereas the overall work will be completed by October 15.

Reportedly, the court took notice of the uneven road of the expressway and asked KPHA to carry out an inspection. It was stated that the repair work previously carried out was of substandard quality. The court ordered that this time repair work must be of top quality. The bench was informed that the work on Swat Expressway Phase-II has started.
