Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mehmood Khan on Monday (June 06) asked provincial authorities to provide municipal facilities in housing societies established under the Urban Development Authorities (UADAs), news sources reported. He urged officials to create sports facilities in housing societies where needed.

The meeting presided over by CM Mehmood, also addressed the organisation and operation of UADA, which was founded in 2020 under the UADA Act 2020. According to reports, the UADA operates through a number of committees, including the auction committee, general rules committee, audit, finance and budget committee, and human resource committee. All committees meet on a regular basis to discuss issues concerning the operation of the authority. Additionally, the participants were informed that auction laws for UADAs had been developed, while service regulations were in the works.

The CM directed the officers in charge to build a model of UADA’s financial independence by developing a business formula to reflect the project for centralised consultancy.
