Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced that the Tourism Week has started on Tuesday (January 11) at the Pakistan Pavilion of Dubai Expo 2020, according to news sources.

As per the details, different projects will be exhibited at the investment conferences to attract foreign investment and promote the tourism sector. At the expo, several tourist spots, historic Gandhara Civilisation, indigenous Kalash Culture, Cultural heritage sites, and sites for adventure tourism in southern and mother parts of the province will be displayed.
Reportedly, Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan will attend the mega-conference to be held on January 16 at the Dubai Expo 2020.
It is pertinent to note that on Monday (January 10) a conference was organised at the Pakistan Pavilion to attract investment for the energy and power sector. At the conference, the attendees were briefed on KP’s energy sector and the investment opportunities available under the KP government’s vision for 2030.

Moreover, KP Board of Investment and Trade Chief Executive Hassan Daud Butt gave an overview of the sector and highlighted KP’s potential in hydel power generation, renewable energy, and oil and gas reserves.
