Abbottabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Naeem Khan has said that the government will introduce a tourism police force in the province after Eid-ul-Fitr, a news source reported.

He expressed his views on the matter during an interaction with reporters in Hazara. He said that the proposed tourism force would be developed along the pattern of tourist police of Thailand.
Previously, the IGP addressed a gathering of police officials at Jalal Baba Auditorium. DIG Hazara Mohammad Ali Babakhel, DPO Abbas Majeed Marwat, all DPOs of Hazara range, as well as representatives of Haripur, Abbottabad and other districts were all present at the occasion.
IGP Mohammad Naeem Khan said that the Galliyat and Naran-Kaghan were major tourist attractions in the area that attracted both domestic and foreign tourists.

He added that special trainers from the Thailand police force would soon hold training sessions with KP police personnel for the purpose of setting up the proposed tourism police.
