Peshawar: The Board of Directors (BoD) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture & Tourism Authority (KPCTA) on Tuesday held its first meeting during which it discussed the proposal for setting up the Kalam Development Authority, a news source reported.

To this effect, KP Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan directed the officials concerned to recruit people on several administrative positions of the KPCTA on merit. He also ordered them to table the rules drafted for the establishment of the proposed Kalam Development Authority before the provincial cabinet for approval.

The meeting was informed that the draft of the ‘Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Plan’ would be notified on a timely basis. The attendees were briefed about long and short-term KPCTA plans for the promotion of tourism and culture in the region.
Furthermore, the meeting approved organogram, budget allocation, vehicle and required equipment procurement, and official logo for the authority.
Additional Chief Secretary KP Shakeel Qadir, multiple departmental administrative secretaries, and other officials concerned were all present at the occasion.
