Peshawar: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has decided to transform five small dams into tourist spots in order to boost tourism within the province; in accordance with Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s vision, according to a news report published today (August 21).

As per details, the provincial government will develop recreational facilities including restaurants, parking space and other facilities at the following small dams:
Kundar Dam, Swabi
Thand Dam, Kohat
Jhangra Dam, Abbottabad
Jalozai Dam, Nowshera
Chattri Dam, Haripur

Moreover, these dams are being transformed under the first phase of the government’s plan to use dams for tourism promotion. It is expected that more such areas will be identified and used for this purpose.
