Peshawar: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has introduced a new program offering cash rewards to citizens who report tax fraud, with guaranteed confidentiality for whistle-blowers, sourced directly from a piece featured on September 12.

This initiative, aimed at curbing tax evasion, is backed by regulations that are nearing completion. The Advisor to the Chief Minister for Finance Muzammil Aslam announced the plan during a visit to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA), emphasising strict actions against offenders based on public reports.
The cash reward amounts will be determined soon. During the visit, KPRA Director General Fouzia Iqbal also presented an update on the province’s revenue collection for the first two months of the financial year.
