As part of the reforms, international best practices will be introduced in all TMAs and UADAs by June this year. The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Trade Way Commission (COSO) Enterprise Risk Management Framework will be implemented, alongside International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), to ensure financial discipline and transparency.
The success of similar reforms in Urban Area Development Authority Kohat served as a model for the province-wide initiative. Previously, UADA Kohat faced an annual deficit of Rs 49 million, but after implementing the new policies, it is projected to achieve a surplus of Rs 25.7 million.
