Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced its decision to reopen rest houses in the province under the strict implementation of the government-sanctioned anti-COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), according to a news report published on August 25.

According to these SOPs, only two people will be allowed to stay in a single room – with the addition of two children below the age of 18 years. The State Office and Administration department will issue special permits for a stay in KP rest houses.

Moreover, the ministers, advisors and government officers will inform the office about their purpose of visit and will not be permitted to bring guests along. It was also announced that the practices of social distancing, wearing masks, washing hands and regular use of sanitisers will be made equally mandatory.
