Peshawar: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has decided to set up 1,000 sports grounds in the province during the next five years, a news source quote Provincial Minister for Youth Affairs, Culture and Tourism Atif Khan. Khan shared this information while he addressed a sports gala as chief guest.
He also announced to arrange for a sports ground and related facilities in Wadpagga. He was accompanied by important government officials including Shahram Khan Tarakai, Zahir Shah Toor, Iftikhar Mishwani, and Arbab Jahandar.
Khan said that the KP government is taking measures to promote sports facilities in the province as these help youth engage in healthy activities. He also mentioned that youth in KP is an asset for the government and their progress is taken seriously.
Speaking about beautification of Peshawar, Khan announced that PKR 5 billion will be spent annually for uplifting the face of the city and keep it maintained.
