Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has said that a sum of PKR 20 billion would soon be deposited in the provincial exchequer from the federal government on account of net hydel profit, a news source reported. He was speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony of a parking plaza in the provincial capital.
The CM said that the amount will help in improving the fiscal position of the province.
Khan also said that the government will ensure the timely completion of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). The project will be softly inaugurated on March 23. He added that the BRT was initiated for the public’s welfare, and that people’s reservations would be removed.
According to a statement issued by the authorities, the city district parking skyline at Namak Mandi is expected to boost tourism.
The plazas comprises of seven floors including basement, semi-basement, ground floor, first floor, and commercial units. The remaining area will have parking space, having the capacity for 198 vehicles.
