Peshawar: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government will launch its e-tender and e-billing project next month, according to Minister for Communication and Works (C&W) Akbar Ayub Khan.
He was presiding over a meeting to review ongoing development projects in the district. He directed the officials concerned to submit their recommendations in this regard. He said that the old system will be replaced with an e-billing and e-tender framework.

The officials concerned gave briefings on the performance of their respective departments. In response, the minister directed them to submit details of the budget required for their projects.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has sought amendments in Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules. The executive is contemplating establishing a superior body to oversee PPRA.
After revising the PPRA rules, the government will set up a Punjab PPRA Authority. The tendering process will be digitised under the said agency body. The executive plans to curb corruption and kickbacks on tenders.
