Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Tourism Department spokesperson Latif-ur-Rehman on Monday stated that the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) had provided its approval to the issuance PKR 375 million for the development of 10 new tourism spots in Hazara and Malakand divisions, according to news sources.

According to the details revealed, these tourism spots will be established in Abbottabad, Haripur, Swat, and Upper Dir districts. The decision is aimed at minimising tourist loads on the existing tourist destinations of Kalam, Madian, Malam Jabba, and Bahrain in Swat. Similarly, the tourist spots in Abbottabad such as Nathia Gali, Bagnotar, Donga Gali, Thandyani, Harnoi, Khanspoor, and Ayubia will also benefit from these facilities. Not to mention that a similar situation plagues Khanpur in Haripur district besides Komrat valley in Upper Dir districts.

Moreover, it was revealed that the 10 new tourism spot include six waterfalls, four tourism sites and tracks will be established in Sajjikot (Havelian), Jarogo (Swat), Umrella (Abbottabad), Noori and Chajian (Haripur) and Lamchar (Upper Dir districts).
