Peshawar: Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Information and Local Government Kamran Bangash recently inaugurated an online building plans approval system to facilitate the general public and promote the workings of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)’s local construction sector, according to a news source published on July 23.

While briefing the media, he said that the incumbent government is aiming to create a conducive environment for both businesses and investments in Pakistan. He said that easy rules and policies are being introduced to attract international investors. He further went on to say that the KP government was working to create employment opportunities and the newly-introduced system will help in achieving it, and add to the construction sector as well.

Moreover, under the improved system, maps of residential buildings could be obtained in 15 days and maps of commercial buildings can be obtained within a month. Bangash concluded by reiterating the World Bank’s ‘ranking of counties based on business opportunities’ and highlighted that Pakistan has gained 28 places this year.
