Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Directorate General of Sports & Youth Affairs Asfandyar Khan Khattak on Tuesday released the layout plan of Pakistan’s first-ever Sports City that spans over 380-kanal in Regi Model Town – to be developed with an estimated cost of PKR 1 billion, according to news sources.

The project has been approved by the KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, who has issued directives to immediately work on the PC-1 of the project, ‘starting with the recruitment of international consultants’.
Reportedly, the project is masterminded by the KP CM and will feature all the international-standard amenities. The land being used for the Sports City is the property of Peshawar Development Authority (PDA).

As per the Director General Sports, the Sports City plan features a nine-hole mini golf course, an A-class hotel for 400 players, a football ground, inter-routes, swimming pool, lawns, residential block, museum, shopping area, eateries, shooting rand, cycling wooden velodrome, multi-purpose boxing ring, martial arts and indoor gymnasium.
