Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has released a sum worth PKR 20,422.622 million for the completion of several approved development projects, according to news sources. Provincial Finance Minister Saleem Jhagra on Thursday revealed that KP was the first province to authorise all its departments to utilise 75% of development funds in the fiscal year 2019-20.

He made these remark during a meeting held to review the progress to meet revenue targets set for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2019-20.

He said that this was made possible because of the provincial executive’s efforts geared towards alleviating development spending and reforming its financial management policies. Minister Jhagra said that province has done massive amount of work to facilitate and accelerate development in the region.
