The draft for the amendments has been sent to the KP cabinet for discussion and approval at its upcoming meeting.
Explaining the proposed changes, KP Labour Minister Shaukat Yousafzai stated that this initiative was aimed at ensuring that the province’s labour laws were strictly followed. He added that this move was prompted due to the absence of any proper mechanisms to punish violators in the current laws.
After the proposed changes have been approved by the cabinet, the amendments will be presented before the provincial assembly for final approval.
