Peshawar: A meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reviewed 40 projects and approved 31 of them, with an estimated budget of PKR 22.311 billion, according to news sources.
The meeting was presided over by the Additional Chief Secretary/ Secretary Planning and Development Atif Rehman.

The approved uplift projects are associated with water, roads, buildings, bridges, urban development, and housing, along with the local government and multi-sectoral development sectors.
The meeting cleared four projects, subject to the Central Development Working Party’s approval. The remaining four projects were deferred for having inadequate designs.

The PDWP approved two projects under the Accelerated Implementation Program (AIP) and Ten Years Development Program (TYDP) with an estimated cost of PKR 2.068 billion. The meeting expressed hope that these projects will provide the grounds for a new developed era in the merged tribal districts and bring Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at par with other provinces.
