Peshawar: The authorities concerned have dispatched evacuation notices to the occupants of government-owned residences situated in the Nishtarabad locality on GT Road, a news source reported on December 21.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has already announced its decision to construct flats by demolishing residential accommodations currently in use of government employees in the Nishtarabad area. Moreover, it plans to take legal action against officials who fail to comply with government orders.
According to the details revealed, a number of employees working in various departments were evicted from government homes as part of the initiative. However, these residences have yet to be completely evacuated.

As per the notices sent to the occupants concerned, the provincial executive plans to commence with the demolition drive from next week onwards and has called for immediate evacuation to avoid any untoward incident.
