Bannu: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has decided to establish a new city between Bannu City and Lakki Marwat district, news sources reported on March 06. Bani Gul Metropolis, a new city, will be built in the Ghoriwala neighbourhood.

At a meeting with the district administration, Bannu Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Zubair Niazi stated that the decision was made in view of the challenges that locals were experiencing concerning residential and civic amenities. The Banni Gul City would cover approximately 10,000 kanals in Ghoriwala, close to the CPEC route. Furthermore, the city will be 12 kilometres from Bannu and 1.5 kilometres from Bannu-Lakki Road.

DC Zubair further stated that in order to facilitate and modernise the city, services related to healthcare, road infrastructure, schools, playgrounds, recreation, and uninterrupted electricity and gas supply will be provided to inhabitants of the new city. The Urban Areas Development Authority (UADA) will be in charge of carrying out the project.
