The plan, approved by Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan, outlines the roles of both federal and provincial entities in implementing the actions required under the various MEAs.
The plan includes 167 actions under 15 MEAs, such as legislative gap identification, capacity building, arrangements for regulatory regimes, communication and advocacy, and implementation. It also includes the development of a provincial wetland policy to implement the National Wetlands Policy and the integration of climate change considerations into relevant social, economic, and environmental policies and actions. The plan is intended to balance environmental protection and conservation of natural resources with other policy goals while promoting economic growth.

As per government sources, the plan is meant to balance environmental protection and conservation of natural resources with other policy goals and enhancement of economic growth.
