Miranshah: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation Mohammad Iqbal Wazir on Wednesday revealed the provincial government’s decision of allocating PKR 1 billion to combat the novel coronavirus, a news source reported. As per the publication, Wazir visited the quarantines established in Mir Ali and Miranshah areas of North Waziristan District.

The minister said that the ministry’s staff – along with Provincial Disaster Management Authority’s (PDMA) – are ready to tackle any emergency situation posed by the virus. He added that the KP government was making all the necessary arrangements to control any negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic and, for that purpose, is efficiently utilising the available resources.

Wazir highlighted that the general public should cooperate with the authorities so that the spread of the novel coronavirus could be curtailed. Previously, the KP government implemented partial lockdown throughout the province and banned inter-district public transport last week.
