Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has proposed the construction of a direct route from Abbottabad city to the Hazara Motorway, according to a news source reported on January 13.

The provincial government has communicated its request to the federal government for the expansion of the Sherwan Interchange, while also forwarding a request for the construction of a tunnel-based interchange to Islamabad.

The overarching objective of this ambitious project is to establish a seamless connection between Abbottabad City, Mansehra, Nathiagali, and the surrounding areas, ultimately reducing traffic congestion in Abbottabad City.
In a recent meeting held in Abbottabad, officials deliberated on the prioritization of the Abbottabad BRT project, addressing drainage issues, and resolving road problems near the conclusion of the Hazara Motorway at Peshawar Morr.
