Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Monday initiated the e-Razakar Programme for addressing public issues amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a news source reported.

To this effect, KP Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan stated that e-Razakar volunteers would work under the provincial relief department. He added that this programme would have no connection to the federal government’s Corona Relief Tiger Force. The e-Razakar programme would resolve complaints at the doorsteps of the public, he said.
According to details, citizens will have access to a toll-free number: 1700. Through this e-Razakar helpline, they would be able to access:
- Free medical advice
- Pharmacy & psychiatric services at their doorsteps
- Information related to Coronavirus
- Women & children protection
- Civil Defence services
- Municipal Services
- Talking to representatives of 1122, PDMA, & PMRU

The provincial government also plans to add more services to this helpline soon. The e-Razakar programme is part of the KP government’s relief activities during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in the province.
