Peshawar: Housing Secretary Hassan Mehmood on Thursday revealed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Foundation has received more than 88,000 online applications from employees of the provincial government applying for a home from across the province – a news source reported.

The secretary, addressing several media representatives during a press conference, further said that the foundation had received nearly 38,173 applications from Peshawar; 8,620 from Abbottabad; and 6,513 applications from Mardan. The applications count registered from the province’s remote areas, however, was low; with only six applications coming in from Aurakzai, seven from Kolai Palas, and 10 from South Waziristan.

Secretary Mehmood said that the foundation’s enrolment drive would open again on its official website to provide an opportunity to civil regular employees of the province to also avail the offered housing facility.

He said that all registered foundation members would be provided unique portal login credentials for checking the status of their submitted applications and making any required corrections.
