Haripur: The first phase of the much-anticipated housing project in Haripur is set to begin within the next three to six months, announced Dr. Amjad Ali, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Housing, on Thursday.
Speaking to a survey team, Dr. Ali highlighted that the provincial government, following directives from Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, had initiated a comprehensive survey and identified 3100 kanals of land for the project. Of this, 2,765 kanals will be dedicated to residential development, while the remaining area will be reserved for recreational and commercial purposes.

The first phase of the housing scheme will cover 1200 kanals and is expected to feature modern amenities, making it an attractive option for residents and investors. Dr. Ali emphasized the importance of completing the feasibility study swiftly to ensure timely approval and commencement of the project.
MPA Akbar Ayub Khan, former minister Yousuf Ayub Khan, DG Housing Authority KP, and officials from the C&W and local government were present during the briefing. Yousuf Ayub Khan stated that the housing scheme would provide a much-needed facelift for Haripur and significantly improve living standards in the region. Located just 40 kilometers from Islamabad, the project is expected to attract both local residents and investors seeking a modern housing society.
