Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government and the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) have revealed their intent to develop an uplift package for the Mohmand tribal district, according to a news report published on October 9.

The said provision will include initiatives for road infrastructure, health facilities, clean drinking water and other projects of public welfare. The uplift scheme will be announced by the KP Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan upon a visit to the district.
The package was announced at a meeting held between KP CM Khan and WAPDA Chairman Lt Gen (r) Muzzamil Hussain. The two officials discussed matters related to the under-construction Mohmand Dam. The meeting was also attended by other officials of WAPDA.

The meeting was appraised about the progress status of Mohmand Dam and the CM declared the projects ‘significant’ for the socio-economic development of the tribal district.
