Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government recently released funds worth PKR 0.5 billion under the Insaf Rozgar Scheme for the newly merged tribal districts (NMTDs), a news source reported.

The KP Planning & Development Department revealed this information during a meeting chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary (CS) Shakeel Qadir. The meeting reached the decision that the Insaf Rozgar Scheme would have a total outlay of PKR 1 billion. Under this outlay, the women and youth belonging to the NMTDs will receive a loan of PKR 1 million each.
The officials concerned informed the meeting that loans worth PKR 0.9 billion had already been distributed among 3,512 residents of the tribal districts. They added that these residents included women.

The Additional CS stressed that the authorities concerned should ensure that all deserving and qualified people benefit from the Insaf Rozgar Scheme. He added that all NMTDs would have a fair share in the scheme.
