Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (KP) Mahmood Khan has said that the improvement of roads infrastructure and the rapid uplift of tourist destinations and industrial zones forms a major part of the government’s developmental strategy for the province – a news source reported.

He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting with Provincial Minister for Communication and Works Akbar Ayub; held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Wednesday. Provincial Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai, CM’s Principal Secretary Shahab Ali Shah and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority (PKHA) Managing Director were all present at the occasion.

CM Khan said that foreign investment held immense importance for the development of the province and that the government would work to increase it through the promotion of its ease-of-doing-business initiative.The CM further stated that an integrated strategy had been formulated for economic stability in the province. He said that the operationalization of industrial zones across the province would pave the way for economic development – as well as create employment opportunities for the masses.
