Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has issued new standard operating procedures (SOPs) – drafted by the National Tourism Board (NTB) – for the safe operation of the province’s tourism industry, a news source reported.

Following is a list containing some significant SOPs:
- All tourists will have to use masks and hand sanitisers
- Hotels are to ensure physical distancing measures
- Hotel staffs will wear protective suits
- All accommodation facilities to have pamphlets with precautionary measures
- All hotels to keep sanitisers at the reception
- Elevator doors and buttons to be sanitised each time after it is used
- Gyms and swimming pools at hotels to remain closed
- Drivers to wear masks and gloves
- Tourists, when visiting tourist spots, will have their fevers checked
- People with high temperatures will be quarantined
- Tour organisers will take all the identification details of tourists including their CNIC details, phone numbers and addresses.
