Advisor on Information Kamran Bangash recently revealed that the provincial cabinet had sanctioned the ‘outsourcing and online booking of five rest houses in Galyat’. These five rest houses include the Governor House and Chief Minister’s House — which are to be handed over to the tourism authority after renovations are complete.
According to reports, the tourism authority will earn millions in revenue by using these rest houses for tourism purposes. These houses were previously under official use and were not earning any profits despite the funds spent on their development and upkeep.
