To this effect, KP Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan recently chaired a meeting to review the performance of the KP Oil & Gas Company Limited (KPOGCL) and Pakhtunkhwa Energy & Power Development Organisation (PEADO).
During the meeting, officials told the CM that 66 mini hydel power stations (MHPS) would be completed by June. They added that the projects already completed were handed over to the locals for an uninterrupted power supply to their respective areas.
The attendees further stated that the provincial government had identified the sites for the construction of 672 more power stations during the next financial year. In response, the CM directed the PEADO officials to identify issues in power projects being financed by the federal government so that these could be discussed with Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.
