This scheme was approved by the KP cabinet in a meeting held on Thursday, with Chief Minister Mahmood Khan as the chair, along with ministers and administrative secretaries as attendees.
The members of this cabinet meeting approved the allocation of PKR 1 billion for a relief, rehabilitation, and resettlement programme in the current fiscal year. This is a non-Annual Development Programme (ADP) scheme, and is aimed at minimising the damage caused by natural disasters in the province. However, the plan is to bring this scheme under the ADP umbrella in the next fiscal year to promote development in KP.
