On the basis of a private-public partnership, KP Government has launched Motorway City Nowshera. The project is huge, perhaps the biggest of Khyber Pakhtunkwa and is planned on an area of 80,000 kanals. According to information shared by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Department through local newspapers, Motorway City Nowshera is located adjacent to Col Sher Khan Interchange on Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway.
The Motorway City Nowshera is a 45 minutes’ drive away from Islamabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi and Nowshera. To further reduce the distance of this master planned development from nearby major cities, the KP Government is considering to connect it with Chakdra Bridge Swat through an 82 km long dedicated expressway.
To complete the project on time, the government has requested the owners of land in nearby mauzas including Mauza Mian Esa, Mouza Misri Banda, Mauza Ali Muhammad, Mauza Mashak, Mauza Mughalki and Mauza Nandark to participate in the process. They can submit their land document along with ownership proofs and CNIC copies by March 31, 2015.
To get land on a basis of partnership, the KP Provincial Assembly passed a law, which binds the Government to give 500 square yards fully developed plot against every 4 kanal of land acquired. In addition to that, the KP Government has also committed that if the project won’t get completed in the promised time and offer the land owners developed plots against their land, it would buy land from them.
Some of the important features of this planned development include high level town planning, underground wiring, playgrounds, wide roads, modern sewerage system, international standard shopping malls as well as various mixed use high rise developments and an area spanning 10 thousand kanal for international standard universities.
As and when more information is made available by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, we will share it with you. So, stay tuned for that.
Thnaks! Please update as you get more information regarding this project.
