Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is becoming a great real estate investment option with time. Defence Housing Authority (DHA) is already on the cards for Peshawar and many other real estate projects are underway in the province. And now the provincial government has come up with three new residential projects, with approvals given for them fairly recently.
New Hangu City, Model Town Peshawar and Model Town Nowshera are the new housing schemes that are set to provide ample investment opportunities to real estate investors and a slew of housing options to the residents of the province.
Approvals for the development of these housing schemes were given in a recent meeting with KP Chief Minister (CM) Mr Pervez Khattak in the chair. The meeting was attended by the housing secretary, additional chief secretary, special assistants to the CM on planning, housing and development, and other officers concerned, according to a news source.
The participants of the meeting reviewed the progress of the housing schemes and took several decisions in this regard. Furthermore, the CM directed the officials concerned to increase the number of plots in New Hangu City by reducing plot sizes from 1 kanal to 5 marlas in order to accommodate the low-income groups and offer them plots at an affordable price.
The CM also told the Revenue Department to transfer 1,420 acres of land to the Housing Department for the development of New Hangu City.
The CM gave approval for the development of a 5-km expressway from Tarujaba, GT Road to Model Town Nowshera as well. Moreover, the royalty-based plan for the acquisition of 13,000 kanals of land in Model Town Peshawar was also approved in the meeting.
Now that three new housing schemes are set to come up in KP, we should expect to see growth in its property market in the coming time. If you would like to say anything about the development of new housing schemes in KP, the comments section below is open for you to do so.
Thanks for sharing. Nice blogging.
KPK law and order situation has also improved so great news for people of those areas, however I think this will have negative effect on Islamabad (Zone-II) surroundings as most of Pakhtoons who invest heavily here will have another option to explore close to their familiar areas.
three housing schemes are approved.
but it will take 5 to ten years for land acquisition, 20 years for development and possession and 10 years for population growth, housing building. so it does not suit us.
