SWABI: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly Speaker Mr Asad Qaisar announced Rs 500 million for the uplift of Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate on his visit to the estate on Thursday.
Mr Qaisar visited the estate with Public Health Engineering Minister Mr Shah Farman and Members of the Provincial Assembly Mr Abdul Karim, Mr Shiraz Khan and Ms Ayesha Naeem.
Addressing the industrialists, Mr Qaisar announced that the government would spend Rs 140 million on the rehabilitation of dilapidated roads and Rs 60 million would be spent on the construction of a school in the estate, where technical education would be given to the local people. The remaining amount, he said, would be spent on other development programmes.
He said 200 acres of land would be acquired for the expansion of the industrial estate. The speaker also added that the development fund would be given to Gadoon Industrial Association (GIA) for the provision of facilities to industrialists.
