Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government revealed on Tuesday (June 9) that the provincial authorities have disbursed 90% of loans in the tribal districts issued under Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s Insaf Rozgar Scheme, according to news sources.

The official statement read that the KP government had allocated PKR 1,100 million under this Insaf Rozgar initiative to support the generation of employment opportunities in the tribal districts. It added that 100% of these loans will be disbursed by the end of the current fiscal year.
It was reported that Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan chaired a meeting to review the progress made on various projects launched in merged areas – under its Accelerated Implementation Programme (AIP).

About the Insaf Rozgar Scheme, the meeting was informed that 3,336 people have been given loans so far. Furthermore, under another scheme launched in the tribal districts worth PKR 1,1100 million, is aimed at providing interest-free loans to people for entrepreneurship development.
Moreover, the CM was also informed that another scheme for the provision of scholarships to the tribal districts’ youth, for skill development training, is also being reviewed for approval – under which over 15,000 people will be given scholarships.
