Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Housing Dr Amjad Ali signed an agreement with a private construction company for the construction of low-cost Nowshera Mega City, according to news published on July 1.

The housing minister stated that the department was taking practical steps for the establishment of the mega city in the district. He went on to say that the housing department projects aim to provide better housing facilities for underprivileged people. The mega city is being developed under the land-sharing formula between the provincial housing authority and a private construction company.

As per the details, in the first phase of Nowshera Mega City, the project will consist of 8,160 kanals of land which will be divided into some 9,504 plots. In the second phase, another 8,000 kanal of land will be included in the said project.
