Peshawar: The Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has issued instructions to the concerned officials to ensure that the development on the 350 MW Mori-Kari and 260MW Jamsheli-Mori Hydropower projects is ongoing in the districts of Chitral, according to news sources.

He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting at the CM House. The attendees of this meeting included; Principal Secretary to CM Shahab Ali Shah, Advisor to CM for Energy and Power Himayatullah Khan, Secretary Energy, and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other concerned officials of China-Pak Energy Investment (SUZHOU) Co Ltd.
The CM stressed that these two projects will prove to be vital for the economic electricity provision to the Economic Zones in the province. He directed the officials to expedite the development process to facilitate the industrial units, and reviewed the work being done on the power projects that will have a combined capacity to produce 610 MW.

He assured the involved parties that the government is focusing on the economic development of the province, and will assist in achieving this goal in any way they possibly can.
