Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan on Monday (March 7) chaired a review meeting to check the progress of 124 ongoing development projects of different departments including sports culture, archaeology, tourism, and youth affairs, according to media reports.

CM Khan was informed that PKR 14.5 billion funds were allotted for the projects in the current year’s budget for KP. It was disclosed that 33 development projects are to be completed by June this year. The following are the details of some of those projects:
- Construction of Hazara museum
- Establishment of museum campuses in Mardan, Swat, Chitral, Hund, Dir, and Bannu
- Development of three athletics tracks in Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat, and Bannu
- Establishment of the archaeological complex in Gor Gathri
- Provision of sports facilities in Khyber, Kurrum, and Bajaur
- Setting up of hockey turf in Swat
- Development of sports complex in Orakzai
- Construction of sports academies in tribal districts
- Setting up of tourist facilitation centres

During the meeting, the CM was briefed on other important projects including:
• Construction of approach road in Malakand and Kalam division
• 1,000 sports facilities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)
• Development of tourist sites
• Upgradation of Hayatabad sports complex
• Establishment of playgrounds at union council level
Moreover, the meeting was informed that the master plan of four integrated tourism zones was sent to World Bank (WB) while the provincial cabinet has approved three sites for the zones. It was mentioned that a pre-feasibility of the Kumrat cable care project will be completed by August this year.
