Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has directed for the timely completion of all infrastructure projects (including the Swat Motorway) under construction, a news source reported. He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting on Saturday.

He ordered the departments concerned to ensure timely completion of the Swat Motorway project. He was confident that the project, after its completion, would further boost the national economy.
Similarly, the Peshawar–Dera Ismail Khan Motorway project would provide easy and safe access to the recently merged tribal areas, as well as increase trade activities within the province. These infrastructural gigs would connect key urban centres of the province; hence fostering further trade and tourism activities, he added.

The CM announced that he would soon visit the sites for inspection; adding that he expected phase II of the Chakdara–Mingora project, and third phase of the Chakri–Bagh Dheri project, to be completed by September.
Moreover, he gave directives for the timely construction of the 35-kilometre-long Mingora–Malam Jabba Motorway project. He said that the design, feasibility report, and PC-1 of the initiative must be completed by September so that construction work could commence.
