Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister (CM) Mehmood Khan on Wednesday ordered the clearance of land for commencing with the development of the Regi Model Town project, a news source reported. He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting held to discuss the ‘Transform Peshawar’ plan.

Further, he ordered immediate action against hurdles impeding the provision of utility services and infrastructural development in Regi Model Town. He revealed that a comprehensive plan had been proposed to improve the lifestyle of the citizens, upgrade the city’s infrastructure and improve service delivery.
‘Transform Peshawar’ focuses on traffic management, beautification, infrastructural development, as well as provision of utility and sanitation services, water, health, education, and sports facilities in the city. Under this project, the experts will prepare short, medium and long-term plans to meet the abovementioned goals.

Moreover, the meeting members were told that funds worth PKR 60 million had been issued under the Annual Development Programme for the up-gradation of Pajaggi and Warsak roads.
