Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has ordered the housing department to finalise the preparations for launching the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) City Nowshehra project, a news source reported. As per the publication, the chief minister issued the directive during a meeting on Thursday.

The meeting was briefed about the uplift schemes executed by the Housing Department in KP. The participants were told that the owners of the land for CPEC City Nowshehra were being paid. They were was also briefed about the development of the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme (NPHP) in Surizai and it was intimated that a scheme had been prepared.

The meeting was also told about the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme Hangu which will be inaugurated by March end. The chief minister said that CPEC City Nowshehra was a vital project for the KP government and no timeline extensions would be granted for the execution and completion of the project. He also directed the officials concerned to ensure the development work on the housing schemes in the province.
