Peshawar: Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ali Amin Khan Gandapur launched three new housing schemes under the Provincial Housing Authority (PHA) in Nowshera, Hangu and Swat, as reported on June 7.

According to the details, the new schemes include Hangu Township, Dangram Housing Scheme in Swat, and Mega City in Nowshera. The launch ceremony took place at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar and was attended by Special Assistant to CM Dr. Amjad Ali, MNA Amjad Khan, MPA Mian Sharafat Ali, and other senior officials.
Hangu Township covers 8,362 kanals and features 10,162 commercial and residential plots of various sizes. Dangram Housing Scheme spans 501 kanals and includes 682 commercial and residential plots. Mega City Nowshera covers 1,750 kanals and has 3,500 plots. The combined development cost for these schemes is estimated at PKR 21 billion.

During his address at the ceremony, the CM highlighted that these housing schemes are being developed through public-private partnerships to address the housing needs of the population. Additionally, he announced that plots of 5 marlas will be provided free of cost to the families of government officials and personnel from various forces who were martyred in the line of duty. The Chief Minister also revealed plans for new housing schemes worth PKR 85 billion, which are expected to meet housing demands and create employment opportunities. He encouraged both local and foreign investment in key sectors such as mining, energy, tourism, and housing.
